God graciously gave Phil, and his wife, Jessica, a son with Down syndrome in 2004. His entrance into their family opened their eyes to the needs and opportunities for ministry to and with individuals and families affected by disability. Phil grew up in the Philippines and Malaysia where his parents served with Wycliffe Bible Translators/SIL. After seminary, he served as pastor of Petersburg Bible Church for 10 years.
In 2013, he began training pastors with Leadership Resources International (LRI), what is now WordPartners, and eventually served as Executive Director for 3 years. During that time he completed a doctorate in leadership, with an emphasis in global partnerships.
In 2021, God brought all these experiences in Phil's life together as he assumed the role of Director of Global Partnerships with AHI. Phil longs to see local churches around the world equipped to love the most vulnerable by giving them access to the gospel and a church family.
Phil and Jessica have four children and live in the Chicago area.
